SPECIAL EDITIONS:  
 
NATIONAL EDITION of 12 Volumes. Original release date: 1938. These volumes are dark green in colour and are each signed by Ion Idriess. The volumes include: Over The Range, Madman's Island, Drums of Mer, Lasseter's Last Ride, Gold Dust and Ashes, The Yellow Joss, Flynn of the Inland, Forty Fathoms Deep, Man Tracks, Men of the Jungle, The Cattle King, The Desert Column. NOTE: Ion Llewellyn Idriess (1889-1979) made a profound contribution to Australian publishing and literature. His combination of the bush yarn and historical or geographical subjects brought a new vision of Australia to its city-bound readers. All the volumes are in very good condition. This particular set is now particularly rare to find these days.

CYANIDING FOR GOLD: A complete, simple, and detailed account of the process written especially for the working miner and the small syndicate. Angus and Robertson, Original 1st Edition. 1939. Hardcover. 270 pp including appendices, fold out charts and diagrams, some B&W photos. The Cyanide or Macarthur-Forrest Process is used to extract gold and other precious metals, such as: silver copper & zinc, from low grade ore. This is an ex New Zealand library copy which is in quite good condition except the red/brown cloth cover is worn and has a wide red cloth strip on the spine with the title hand-written in black ink. No dust cover. A photocopy of the original cover (when published) is also included. There are a couple of library stamps in the book. However, the general book condition is sound with the pages in very good condition. The book could be re-bound to make it quite attractive. (This most rare and collectable book now brings up to $4,000 in new condition or up to $2,500 in second-hand condition).   1,750.00
