The graves are listed numerically, alphabetically or by military regiment. Researchers, genealogists and everybody fascinated by the cruel history will find this book invaluable as will visitors to Norfolk island. The accurate fold-out plan of the cemetery is also included within the book. Mint condition.

It is unique in that it records for the first time the oral tales of the Norfolk Islanders and their Norfolk dialect. The author has presented the many reminiscences of many as the experiences of one man. His reflections go back to Pitcairn days, portray the harsh upbringing of a Norfolk child at the turn of the century, the times of want, the Islander's struggle against government interference in Island affairs, and above all the courage, pride and idiosyncrasies of these remarkable people. Good condition except for a "texta" pen "scrub out" of the previous owner's name.
